Fibre broadband for residents in Soho - A Community Cabinet / by Tim Lord

Despite Soho hosting some of the most prolific business users of fibre connectivity such as the post production houses, broadband service for residents and small businesses in Soho remains pretty dismal.  There is no Virgin Media service and BT, to date, has refused to install a fibre cabinet for Soho residents on the basis that it would "not be economic".  One problem - that in a conservation area the cabinet must be installed below ground - no longer applies as WCC has changed the rules.  BT have offered to co-fund a fibre cabinet but they need a list of residents that would be keen to have a better service.  If you are interested in supporting such a project please complete the form below.  Once we have 50 people we will approach BT for a solution.
