The plaques commemorating the laying of the foundation stone by Sarah Bernhardt and the laying of the coping stone by Sir Henry Irving are located on the columns on either side of the main entrance to the building, Bernhardt on the left and Irving on the right.

A better photograph will be displayed here in due course. On the day when I took the photograph there were roadworks in front of 41-43 Wardour Street - a mediocre photograph is better than no photograph at all.
