Soho Postcodes
Soho postcodes are composed of seven characters; two groups of three characters separated by one space:
alpha-numeral-alpha [space] numeral-alpha-alpha.
The general form is thus W1? ??? with W1B ???, W1D ???, W1F ??? and W1V ??? being used in the Soho area.
Some parts of Chinatown are represented by WC2H ???.
Soho Name:
- Soho, London: the original Soho, based upon a sixteenth century hunting call during the reign of King Henry VIII.
- Soho Divers are a group of scuba divers. They used to hold club meetings in a Soho hostelry after the group was formed in 1968. They subsequently moved to Acton in West London and retained the name. Also see our plaques page.
- Soho, Birmingham: an area in north-west Birmingham, England. Matthew Boulton opened his "Soho Manufactory" in 1761. Boulton lived at Soho House, Soho Avenue, now part of the Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery.
